Night Testing Headlight Protection

A lot of you may have seen our Headlight Armor Headlight Protection Film kits during the day - most photos on the site were taken during the day - and wondered what the headlights might look like at night done in a different color or tint. Maybe you even wondered what the Clear Headlight Protection Film kits would do to the beam pattern. Wondering how a smoked headlight film will affect visibility? Well here is what a vehicle equipped with various Headlight Armor Headlight Protections kits looks like at night during performance testing. We included a head on view and a view of the road / beam pattern. All photos were done with the same vehicle, parked in the same spot on the same night. Included are photos of the Clear, HID Blue, GT Yellow, Light Smoke, and Smoke.

Keep in mind that taking night photos is a challenge and depending on your eyes, your computer, and your vehicles existing lighting your results may vary. The photos of the stock / Clear, HID Blue, and the GT Yellow kits are very close to what they looked like in person. For the Smoke, the camera over compensated just a bit on light metering but we left all photos completely unaltered (aside from re-sizing them to fit on the page) so that the various options are as comparable as possible given the constraints of the technology. The photo with one side smoked and one side clear shows the reduction in brightness the smoke covers generate. Of note the depth and pattern of the beam didn't really change at all. The biggest change with all of the colors was what it did to drivers perception of the road.
